ROBIN( Ben ) HOOD

Yes folks January has not yet concluded and our first

Robin Hood for 2003 has taken place.

Ben Maher chose our indoor range to get the

ball rolling for this year.

What sort of arrows did Ben use for his RH?

Robin Hood surfers from previous years would have a

pretty good idea.

Yep! Got it in one. Safari Carbons.

What else?

As in previous years 9 out of 10

Robin Hooders choose Safafi's.

John Britton has claimed his second  Robin Hood

and also our second for the year, achieving his

RH on February 1st. John has got in early this, last year

John was no. 6 on the list.

John is one of our club veteran shooters and last week

he was one of 2 brave souls to shoot a 120 arrow round in

44.1 degrees Celsius heat (111.8 degrees Fahrenheit)

The other brave soul was Ben (above)

Staggering!!!

What type of arrows? Say no more.

Just looks above at Ben's RH.

ROBIN (Bruce) HOOD

Bruce's 2nd RH and number 3 for this year.

Bruce had this "Fine" (I've used that line before) shot

on our 18 metre Indoor Range.

Bruce is a Recurve Archer with an approx 32" Draw Length

and holds around 40#.

His Bow is a Hoyt Gold Medalist with

Win & Win Challenger Limbs

And Arrows..............?

What else?.................

Carbon Safaris ...Of course

James has made his entry into this years

Robin Hood Stakes.....and by the way there is trophy at

"stake" for the most Robin Hoods for the Year.

It's a Silver Cup.....Which has been Donated

James RHed  this nice X with his

Martin Jaguar Single Cam Compound

And the arrows.........

This is boring......

Carbon...........Whatevers S--f---is

ROBIN (James V) HOOD

James Van Pelt, an aspiring junior member of

MAC got his first "Robin Hood" for 2003

No need to mention the arrow type.

James shoots a Hoyt Pro-Tech XT 3000

Cam &1/2

Good Shooting James

Judy dig deep for the  RHreplacements.

ROBIN (Dennis) HOOD

Mvc-143s.jpg (76966 bytes)

DT (shaky) or should we say Dennis Tarrant

one of our newer members become RH No.6 for the year.

Dennis shoots a Hoyt Stratus &

looks well pleased with his first ever "Robin Hood"

The arrows used?

Yep! Its those.

You know the ones

ROBIN (Ben alias Darryl) HOOD

Ben Maher's 2nd "Robin Hood" for this

was year made on our 18 metre indoor range

Ben used his Left Hand 55# Long Bow

A change of arrow type.

Could this be the future of things to come?

Ben's arrows were Easton 2016

Legacys. Now that's different.

Or is it?

BemMaherMvc-240s.jpg (64495 bytes)

ROBIN (Matilda) HOOD

MatildaHoodMvc-279s.jpg (62746 bytes)

At last we have lady "Robinette Hood"

Also a left hander to boot!

Matilda Iglesias become the 8th. RHer for this year.

Matilda shoots a PSE Spyder with a Venom Cam

The indoor range is taking a pounding during winter.

Matilda's arrows are Easton 1714 Eclipse

No Carbons - 2 Alloys in a row

It could well be the predicated change?

ROBIN (Erich alias Darryl)

It 's a second Darryl for this year.

(Darryl being the generic name given to anyone

who shoots Longbow or Barebow)

Erich Schneider shot the 9th. RH for the year.

Erich used a 50# Samick Longbow

Predictions do come true.

Easton 2016 Legacys

ErichHoodMVC-322S.JPG (57130 bytes)

ROBIN (James S) HOOD

JamesHoodMVC-323S.JPG (65271 bytes)

James Selby has become joint leader in the

Robin Hood Stakes for 2003. Equal with Ben Maher.

It happened again on the indoor range.

James has changed bows since his last effort.

A Hoyt Cyber Tech was his choice.

But I afraid there has been a minor setback

with those Carbon Safaris again

ROBIN (Erich alias Darryl) HOOD

Erich has issued a serious challenge

for the new Robin Hood Trophy.

Erich's effort, our 11th RH for the year has

placed him in a 3 way tie for the converted trophy.

This may not be Erich's final effort as he is shooting

around 200 arrows daily.

Those safaris short lived at this stage.

Back to those Legacys - beginning

to gain a reputation.

Mvc-403s.jpg (73125 bytes)

ROBIN (Erich alias Darryl) HOOD

ErichschniederHoodMvc-409s.jpg (64541 bytes)

It looks like this guy means business.

Erich with entry number 3, has hit the lead and has drawn

1 RH clear of his competition.

Mind you, those Longbows just do the job

on the arrows to qualify for a RH.

Those Legacy arrows  are taking over

from the Safaris.

But don't count your chickens

ROBIN (Erich alias Darryl) HOOD

It looks like Erich has decided to make a break for home,

His 4th RH and equal to most in one year with

Michael & Tori from 2000.

It looks as though Erich has chosen the

18 metre indoor range on which to do battle

Squirrels beware!!!

Longbow & Legacy arrows

EricHood467S.JPG (65529 bytes)

ROBIN (Erich alias Darryl) HOOD

EricHoodMVC-864S.JPG (66542 bytes)

It's Erich, Erich Erich, Erich & Erich

RH number 5 makes Erich the top

"Robin Hooder" for a season.

Our 13th Robin Hood for 2003 is definitely

not unlucky for - Lets hear it again!

Erich, Erich Erich, Erich & Erich

Why change a winning formula.

Longbow & Legacy arrows

ROBIN (Marcel alias Darryl) HOOD

At last a break in the run of Erich's

Marcel, dropped in during his lunch break,

hence the overalls.

Marcel's 1st RH for this year.

With his compound bow temporarily put aside

Marcel used a 50# Samick hunting recurve

and back to the safaris arrows.

MarcelHoodMVC-094S.JPG (68221 bytes)

ROBIN (Phil alias Darryl) HOOD

philstubbingtonMvc-620s.jpg (68505 bytes)

Phil Stubbington , also helping to stem the tide of

Erichs has shot his first RH

Black Spots lookout!

Phil is part of the growing band of feral -oops

Longbow & barebow shooters at MAC.

Phil used his newly acquired Palmer hunting recurve

and not being original in arrow choice,

 chose Safaris --again

ROBIN (Erich alias Darryl)HOOD

Well you just can't keep a good Austrian,

yodelling mountain man down.

With not much of the year left

Herr Schneider is challeted and hosed

With his RH number 6, he has established

an unbeatable lead for 2003

Erich is pictured with his new

Great Plain Recurve and has reverted to

those @$&# carbon arrows

EricSchneiderMVC-923S.JPG (62947 bytes)

ROBIN (Fiona) HOOD

FionaHoodMvc-086s.jpg (65831 bytes)

Fiona - Now  where did our second lady

"Robinette Hood" for the year come from

Fiona is still in the process of attending

one of our introductory courses and

just when you thought the

Erich saga was over - Forget It!

Erich is instructing Fiona!

The bow used by Fiona is Martin Jaguar with Z cams

and the arrows are 1916 X7

ROBIN (John) HOOD

John Czech is our final RH for 2003,

making it the 19th.

19 "Robin Hoods" is the record in one season

John has just recently joined the club.

His bow - Martin Jaguar with Z Cams

His arrows - Carbon Safaris

His Instructor - "Hair Flick"
